On the list of things I never thought would happen, having a blog was somewhere near the top…But I guess having breast cancer was even higher on the list so that proves anything can happen.
I started this blog in March 2016 as a place for family and friends to keep up with my treatment so that my mom and dad weren’t inundated with questions they didn’t really want to be answering. But over this past yer my motivations and hopes for this blog have evolved and changed. I now want this place to be where young women in similar situations can come for honest and funny details about the breast cancer treatment process.
Overtime I started a new stage of the treatment process I would consult The Google and wade through hundreds of forums and posts about the worst case scenarios. No one wrote about having a “good” experience – yes, I am aware that I used the word good when talking about things like chopping off breasts or undergoing chemo, but I’ve learned that all things are relative.
I want Thanks for the Mammaries to be a resource for other women staring down the barrel of the breast cancer gun to come for real-time-talk, laughter and hope. Please share widely with anyone you know that this blog could be helpful for.
